What to Expect in Our Ballet Classes for 4 Year Olds
Enrolling students in dance classes early in life helps instill lasting bodily, cognitive and social skills. Academy 831’s ballet classes for 4 year olds are specially designed to create an environment that enhances these capabilities while teaching students the basics of ballet.
Here’s what you can expect when you enroll your young student in a beginner ballet class:
What to Wear
Our intro to dance and ballet classes prepare your student for formal dance instruction. Our dress code is a light pink leotard and ballet slippers.
The Curriculum
These classes are a prelude to formal dance instruction, introducing movement and musicality with a focus on motor skills and rhythm. Students will come to understand class etiquette and basic ballet terms while utilizing fun props and creative movements to engage the youngest dancers.
Our Expectations
In our non-competitive environment, ballet classes for 4 year olds are centered around encouragement and kind instruction, but of course, we do expect our students to listen, learn and not be disruptive to others.
The Teachers
Our instructors and trained specifically to teach students under the age of 7. The 20-hour Leap N’ Learn training and certification program helps them understand the psychology of young dancers and the best way to help engage them in exploring movement and ballet concepts.
Benefits of Academy 831’s Classes
