FAQs

  • We have Parent and Me classes for ages 2-3 and Intro to Dance or Ballet classes start at age 3. We have classes from age 3 to adult.

  • You can view our schedule on our Classes page or via our studio App. If you’d like to schedule a free trial you can call or text us at (714)831-9350, email us at info@academy831.com or request your trial on our website.

  • You can speak with our Front desk staff to help with proper placement and teachers will also recommend the best fit for your child after their trial class.

  • We want to make sure it’s a great fit before you invest in proper attire. For all classes, dancers can wear leggings and a t-shirt the first week to try the class out. For our youngest dancers we typically have shoes they can borrow for the first class. We do have some shoes in larger sizes that can be borrowed, depending on size and availability.

Once you have found the perfect class for your child, you do need to purchase their own shoes and appropriate dance attire.

  • They do not. You can schedule a trial and start at any time during the month. Tuition will be pro-rated if your child is not starting at the beginning of the month.

  • Yes. Currently to limit the number of people in the space at any given time, one parent per dancer is allowed in the building to watch.

  • There is not. If at any time you decide a change in activity is best for your family, please let us know before the 25th of the month prior and you will not be billed for the next month.

  • Please give us a call or email us to see if others have requested something similar. When we have enough students and an available room we are happy to start a new class.

  • Once you’ve decided we are the right fit for your family, please let us know so we can send you the information to complete. All of our registration is completed online.

  • For our ballet classes you can find the proper leotard and dress code by visiting our dress code page here. For all other classes leggings and a shirt that covers the midriff are acceptable.

  • There are several options. Target does carry leotards, tights, ballet and tap shoes for the youngest dancers. For other sizes you can check online retailers or visit:

On Pointe Dance Supply 1501 N Raymond Ave. Ste E Anaheim, CA 92801

The Dance Shoppe 303 E Imperial Hwy La Habra, CA 90631 (714) 870-0554

  • We have open enrollment year- round and dancers can join at any time.

Dancers wishing to participate in our Nutcracker performance must be enrolled by July 31st.

Dancers wishing to participate in our summer recital or summer ballet must be enrolled by the end of February.

  • Our summer recital, summer ballet and Nutcracker performances are held at Anaheim Center for the Performing Arts at Servite.

Our summer shows are typically held mid-June and the Nutcracker is in December.

All ballet classes are invited to participate in our Nutcracker performances. No audition is required to participate in a dance with your child’s class. Those dancers wishing to be considered for additional roles or solos can audition.

All Intro to Dance, Intro to Ballet, Pre-Ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop classes are invited to participate in our summer recital. We have auditioned roles that dancers can choose to be considered for, however every class will participate and no audition is required.

Sometimes we are asked to have dancers perform at Tree Lighting Ceremonies and other community events or festivals. We try to open this up to as many dancers as possible and send out details so families can choose if participating is right for their child.
